Go to routehuman.com, click "Sign Up", and verify your email address. You will receive a confirmation link within a few seconds. Click it and you are in.

After confirming your email, you will complete a short onboarding flow: select the skill categories you are good at (content review, data labeling, etc.), pass a quick qualification quiz for each skill, and set up your preferred payout method (Lightning, Strike, or bank transfer).

About 5 to 10 minutes. The qualification quizzes are short — typically 5 to 10 questions per skill. You can always add more skills later from your profile page.

Just a computer or smartphone with a stable internet connection and a modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge). No special software or downloads required. The entire platform runs in your browser.

Tasks come from AI systems that need a human judgment call. Common types include: content review, data labeling, document verification, refund eligibility assessment, sentiment analysis, image moderation, translation review, and quality assurance. Each task has clear instructions and a structured form to fill out.

Tasks matching your verified skills automatically appear in your task queue. You can browse available tasks and claim one to start working on it. Higher-tier workers may also receive auto-assigned tasks for priority work.

Each task has an SLA timer, typically between 5 and 30 minutes depending on complexity. You will see the countdown timer while working. Make sure to submit before it expires.

You can release the task back to the queue at any time before the SLA expires. There is no penalty for releasing a task. It goes back to the pool for another worker to claim. Only repeated SLA expirations (timeouts) may affect your reputation.

Tasks are verified through a combination of methods: automated rule checks (schema validation, format checks), cross-verification with other workers on the same task, and periodic gold standard tasks where the correct answer is already known. This keeps quality high and helps calibrate your accuracy score.

Earnings vary by task type, complexity, and your trust tier. Typical payouts range from $0.25 to $5.00 per task. Active workers consistently earn $15 to $30 per hour. Higher trust tiers unlock higher-paying tasks with premium multipliers up to 2x.

Earnings become available for payout immediately after task verification, which usually takes just a few minutes. No waiting for weekly pay runs or invoice processing. Complete a task, get verified, withdraw your earnings.

Three payout options are available:

Lightning Network — Instant Bitcoin payouts, settles in under 10 seconds. Lowest fees.
Strike — Receive via Lightning or as USD directly to your bank account via Strike.
Bank transfer — Direct USD deposit to your bank account.

For Lightning Network payouts, the minimum is 10,000 sats (approximately $10 USD). For bank transfers, the minimum is $25 USD. Once your available balance hits the threshold, you can withdraw instantly.

No. There is no maximum. Withdraw as much as you have earned, as often as you like. There are no caps, no holding periods, and no hidden fees.

HumanRail has three trust tiers that reflect your track record:

Starter — Where all new workers begin. Access to basic task types with standard payouts.
Trusted — Unlocked after demonstrating consistent accuracy. Priority assignment, higher-paying tasks, and faster dispute resolution.
Expert — The top tier for proven performers. Enterprise task access, premium payouts (up to 2x), dedicated worker pools, and early access to new task types.

Leveling up is based on your verification pass rate and gold standard task accuracy. Maintain quality scores above 90% to advance. Moving from Starter to Trusted typically takes 50 to 100 verified tasks. Expert tier requires sustained high performance across multiple skill categories.

If your verification pass rate drops below the threshold for your current tier, your tier may be lowered. This means you would temporarily lose access to higher-paying tasks. Focus on quality over speed — it is better to release a task you are unsure about than to submit an inaccurate response.

Yes. Your profile page shows your verification pass rate broken down by skill category. You can track your progress toward the next tier and identify areas where you can improve.

Click "Forgot Password" on the login page. Enter the email address you used to sign up and we will send you a reset link. The link expires after 1 hour.

Yes. Visit your profile page to add or remove skills at any time. When you add a new skill, you will need to pass the qualification quiz for that skill before tasks of that type appear in your queue.

Yes. We take data security seriously. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Task data shown to workers is redacted — you will never see raw customer PII. Our platform follows data minimization principles: you only see what is strictly necessary to complete each task.
